“Industry night” tends to be more of an informal, unadvertised thing. For chefs, bartenders, and servers that work their busiest shifts on Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays are their versions of the weekend. But several places now officially promote industry happy hours and events. And you don’t necessarily have to work in a bar or restaurant to take advantage of these deals.
2400 Wisconsin Ave. NW
Sundays from 3:30 p.m. until close, shots of Fireball, Grand Marnier, Fernet, and Southern Comfort are $3.
1600 7th St. NW
Industry happy hour goes from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday with Weihenstephaner Pilsner and Hefeweizen drafts for $5 and boots for $10.

1323 Connecticut Ave. NW
It’s not every week, but the fried chicken and doughnut shop hosts recurring industry happy hours on Sundays beginning at 9 p.m. Specials typically include $3 and $4 craft beer specials, punch from guest bartenders, and discounted bites. Stay tuned for the next one.
707 6th St. NW
Mike Isabella‘s restaurant hosts Industry Takeover Nights on the first Monday of each month with drink specials and guest chefs serving up free snacks from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the first floor pizza bar. Entry is $10 with half the proceeds going to a local charity. Zentan chef Jennifer Nguyen, Doi Moi/Estadio/Proof chef Haidar Karoum, and Founding Farmers beverage director Jon Arroyo will make appearances at tonight’s industry night.
