Goodbye cheesesteaks, hello pizza. The guys behind Taylor Gourmet have replaced their Philly-inspired eatery Taylor Charles Steak & Ice with Pizza Parts & Service. The new spot opens today at 11 a.m. at 1320 H St. NE.
The New York-style pizzas are divided by red and white varieties, plus some specialty pies. For a dollar extra, you can also get your pizza “nonna-style,” which means it’s rectangular instead of circular. Slices of select pies are also available. Non-pizza options include eight varieties of wings, calzones, garlic knots, and salads. Beer and wine are coming soon. So is delivery, which is set to launch in two weeks.
And while Taylor Charles may be dead, cheesesteaks are not. Taylor Gourmet locations are planning to begin offering a few varieties around August.
