Local pastry chef all-star Tiffany MacIaac, who introduced the Luther to D.C. and is responsible for some of tastiest desserts in the city, is leaving Neighborhood Restaurant Group next month.

MacIsaac oversaw desserts across NRG’s restaurants, including Birch & Barley, GBD, Buzz Bakery, and more. Her husband, chef Kyle Bailey, will remain with the restaurant group. The two moved from New York to D.C. together in 2009 to open Birch & Barley.

“I’m 33, not sure what I want to do next, but I need to take a moment to reassess,” MacIsaac told the Post‘s Tom Sietsema.

“Tiffany MacIsaac is an exceptional talent and a great friend and I and the rest of the team are grateful for all of her contributions over the years,” NRG owner Michael Babin said in a statement. “We wish her nothing but the best and I’m sure we will continue to collaborate in some way, shape, or form in the future.”
