LL is currently working on a story about Mayor Adrian Fenty and has been hitting the archives, where he found the first mention of Hizzonner in a May 10, 1987 Post recap of a high school track meet:

In the unseeded section of the 1,600, Pat Sharpe of DeMatha passed Adrian Fenty of Mackin five meters from the finish line to win in 4:55. Fenty was also timed in 4:55.

Sounds like it was a close race… Vincent Gray, take note!
