Have a hankering to go see Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at Sidney Harman Hall? As Jonathan L. Fischer reports over on Arts Desk, you should go talk to a D.C. councilmember. Each ward councilmember received 200 ticket vouchers to distribute. Each at-large member received 100 to hand out. And the mayor? He apparently got none.
“We gave them to the specific Wards and At Large members so that the distribution of tickets could be diversified and reach all of D.C.,” Shakespeare Theatre Company publicist Lindsay Mady writes in an e-mail. “Nothing political at all.”
