LL mentioned a widespread rumor this morning in his roundup that Almost Mayor Vince Gray’s council chief of staff, Dawn Slonneger, had been abruptly been let go yesterday afternoon. Not true, said Gray spokeswoman Doxie McCoy this morning, and not true said McCoy just a few minutes ago after speaking directly with Gray.

McCoy says Gray has even had conversations with Slonneger about possible roles for her to play in his administration. LL has tried several times to get in touch with Slonneger, but hasn’t heard from her directly. Anyway, apologies for helping to spread a rumor that’s not true.
