In what’s surely a sign of desperation, the Gray administration is asking LL for advice.

Actually, LL will be spending part of this Friday at an “Executive Media Skills Seminar” for the District’s agency heads and senior staff.  In exchange for a free lunch, LL has agreed to be part of a “panel devoted to understanding how to build effective working relationships between reporters and government agency directors.”

The other panelists include: The Washington Post‘s Nikita Stewart and Mike DeBonis, WAMU’s Patrick Madden, WTOP’s Mark Segraves, WJLA’s Sam Ford, NewsChannel 8’s Bruce DePuyt, Telemundo’s Nitza Soledad, and Dorothy Brizill of D.C. Watch.

NBC’s Tom Sherwood can’t make the lunch hour panel due to his appearance on The Kojo Nnamdi Show, so he’s getting a full hour by himself earlier in the morning.

Who knows what kind of sneaky game the Gray administration is playing with this whole deal, but if you don’t hear from LL after Friday, please know he died fighting.
