The D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics is shopping for a new executive director today after the departure of Rokey Suleman.

Suleman submitted his resignation to the BOEE’s board last week and was packing up his office today, says BOEE spokeswoman Alysoun McLaughlin. Paul Stenbjorn, the BOEE current chief technology officer will take over tomorrow as interim executive director while the board conducts a search for a new boss, McLaughlin says.

No word on why Suleman left, but McLaughlin notes “it’s a stressful field.”
