Yesterday, as a council committee was approving a report accusing former mayoral candidate Sulaimon Brown of making false statements under oath and referring the matter to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the owner of the building where Brown lives was trying to get him evicted.

Brown, it turns out, is not a lawful tenant of his residence on Bladensburg Road NE, according to Stephen Hessler, the attorney for the building’s owner.

Or, in other words, “we’re suing him as a squatter,” says Hessler, who says the alleged squatting has been going on for an indeterminate amount of time.

Yikes, does it ever stop with this guy? Brown did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment. LL will update if he does.
