What’s that saying? Gas, grass, or ass, nobody rides for free. Ward 7 council candidate Kevin B. Chavous is apparently a fan of the third option, according to police. Chavous entered into a not guilty plea earlier today on a charge that he tried to solicit sex-for-money from an undercover police officer, the Post reports.
Court records are now available detailing the Metropolitan Police Department side of events when Chavous interacted with undercover cop Tracee Chamberlaine in the early morning of Dec. 16.

For his part, Chavous has continue campaigning while declining to offer up his version of events. He told the Post this morning that he’s looking forward to “being able to tell my story at this courthouse and letting the system play out.”
