Life continues to be difficult for former Mayor-for-Life/Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry, who recently lamented the high number of Filipino nurses a few weeks after complaining about Asian-American restaurateurs’  “dirty shops.”

Philippines Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. is irked enough to put out a statement. The guy who beat Barry at the Democrat’s delegation vote thinks Barry needs to talk to immigrants more often. And a coalition of Asian-American groups has launched a campaign seeking an apology.

The campaign’s name (and website domain): Say Sorry Barry.

The councilmember isn’t answering his phone and his voicemail, as always, is full.
