Barack Obama won four more years last night, plus D.C.’s three electoral votes. Ballot initiatives in Maryland allowing gay marriage and expanded gambling both passed. In Virginia, Tim Kaine won a Senate term.

Chairman of the D.C. Council: Phil Mendelson (D)
At-Large Councilmember: Vincent Orange (D) and David Grosso (I)
Ward 8 Councilmember: Marion Barry (D)
Ward 7 Councilmember: Yvette Alexander (D)
Ward 4 Councilmember: Muriel Bowser (D)
Ward 2 Councilmember: Jack Evans (D)
Shadow Senator: Michael D. Brown (D)
Shadow Representative: Nate Bennett-Fleming (D)
At-Large Member of the State Board of Education: Mary Lord
Ward 8 Member of the State Board of Education: Trayon White
Ward 7 Member of the State Board of Education: Karen Williams
Ward 4 Member of the State Board of Education: D. Kamili Anderson
Ward 2 Member of the State Board of Education: Jack Jacobson
Three charter amendments also passed: One that allows the D.C. Council to boot one of its members who has exhibited “gross misconduct,” and two that bar councilmembers and mayors from regaining office if they are convicted of felonies while holding their titles.
