David Catania hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll run for mayor, but the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund is backing him anyway. The group, which helps LGBT candidates raise money, announced today that they’re endorsing Catania for mayor.
In a release, an executive with the group described Catania as “ideally positioned to lead a city with such diverse and dynamic people.”
In news about people actually running for mayor, Muriel Bowser landed an endorsement from pro-choice fundraising group EMILY’s List. In a release, EMILY’s List president Stephanie Schriock called Bowser “the best choice for Washington’s next mayor.”
