Muriel Bowser is still ahead of her opponents but has seen her lead shrink slightly since April’s Democratic primary, according to a new poll. Bowser received 43 percent in the poll from NBC4, the Washington Post, and Marist, while rival David Catania followed with 26 percent of the vote.
Third place opponent Carol Schwartz lagged behind with 16 percent, while 14 percent of likely voters were undecided. The landline and cell phone poll, taken over the weekend, surveyed 1,249 and has a 4.1 percent margin of error.
The new poll still shows Bowser well ahead of her rivals, but suggests that the race has narrowed since the primary, when another poll found Bowser leading Catania by more than 30 percent. LL is talking to the various campaigns and will update with their thoughts soon.
