Vince Gray‘s campaign color was blue, but tonight, he’ll paint the Wilson Building red. Starting tonight, Gray and the D.C. Council will turn the lights on the facade of city hall red in honor of the Nationals’ playoff run.

“We’re going to turn the Wilson Building red to show everyone that the District is behind them 100 percent,” Gray says in a press release.

The Wilson Building will be lit red every night until the playoff run ends, according Gray spokeswoman Doxie McCoy. Gray also turned the Wilson Building red during the Nationals’ 2012 playoff run.

Perhaps bad luck with previous playoff bets, though, is keeping Gray from putting more on the line. While Gray has been known to challenge rival mayors over playoffs games, McCoy says Gray hasn’t yet made a similar bet with Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, whose Orioles could face the Nationals in the World Series if both teams win their respective leagues.

“We haven’t as yet sealed one,” McCoy says.
