Still Mayor Vince Gray hasn’t hit the exits yet, but he might as well have. Last week, Gray saw the D.C. Council override one of his vetoes and fricassée his D.C. United stadium deal all in one day. Now he’s made the wind-down of his administration official, setting a date for his goodbye speech.
Gray will say “adios” on Dec. 17 at Dunbar High School, his alma mater. The speech, scheduled to start at 7 p.m., promises to highlight “the many accomplishments of the Gray administration,” according to a press release.
Gray dead-enders who can’t make the speech shouldn’t worry about missing their last chance to reminisce, though. There’s always the mayoral memory book.
