A group of candidates vying for Mayor Muriel Bowser‘s vacated Council seat will meet to debate on April 13 at Petworth Citizen.

Because of space restrictions, Washington City Paper invited the top fundraisers out of the 12 declared candidates: Leon T. Andrews Jr. (confirmed), Renée Bowser (confirmed), Douglass Sloan (confirmed), Brandon Todd (confirmed), and Dwayne Toliver (confirmed). Doors open at 5 p.m., and the 90-minute debate will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please note that seating and standing room is limited to about 70 people; the event is first-come first-serve.

Our moderators for the evening will be Loose Lips himself, Will Sommer; columnist and former LL Jonetta Rose Barras; and James Wright of the AFRO-American Newspapers. Tweet your questions using #LLdebate, and check back here on April 14 for audio.

This post has been updated to include Leon T. Andrews Jr., who was erroneously not invited initially.
