There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.
At last night’s City Paper-hosted Ward 8 debate, four candidates for the D.C. Council—plus a fifth who made a surprise appearance at the end!—made their claim to the seat formerly held by Marion Barry.
That included his son, Marion C. Barry, former Gray staffer Sheila Bunn, activist Eugene Kinlow, and elder Barry spokeswoman-turned-opponent Natalie Williams, who arrived with forty minutes remaining in the 90-minute debate.
