When it comes to birthday presents, there’s no gift less thoughtful than a check. Except for Muriel Bowser‘s birthday party tomorrow, when the mayor will celebrate her 43rd birthday party with contributions from District bigwigs.

To commemorate her birthday (which falls on Sunday), Bowser is soliciting donations to her constituent service fund with a party at H Street NE restaurant/sneaker emporium Maketto. Suggested donations are $25, but District regulations allow $500 maximum contributions.

If you want to know how Bowser’s CSF will spend your birthday cash, though, you’re out of luck. Bowser’s fund, swollen to a whopping $109,627.15 by leftover contributions from the mayor’s inaugural committee, hasn’t spent any money, as of a OCF report filed in July.
