Nine years after Twitter started and at least three years since he became the last member of the D.C. Council who didn’t tweet (or at least whose staff didn’t tweet for them), D.C. Council chairman Phil Mendelson has made a Twitter account.
Here’s how Mendelson decided to break his Twitter fast:

That’s all right. It’s not feuds with other councilmembers or lots of selfies, but it’s a start.
“Yes, I have succumbed,” Mendelson writes in an email to LL.
