District voters looking for a reason to vote for Donald Trump may actually have one. In an interview yesterday with the Washington Post editorial board, Trump sort-of backed a vote for the District in the House of Representatives.
Asked about voting rights by ed board District issues boss Jo-ann Armao, Trump said a vote in the House “would be OK.” The caveat here is that Trump seems only half-aware of what he’s saying through the entire interview.
Still, LL doesn’t think Trump will make a run for shadow senator if the president thing doesn’t work out. After a whole lot of hedging, Trump comes off as opposed to District statehood.
“I think it’s just something that I don’t think I’d be inclined to do,” Trump says.
Sad!
