There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.

Though Fort Fringe has been open since last Thursday, Capital Fringe doesn’t officially kick off until tomorrow. The Baldacchino Gypsy Tent is where most of the action is, complete with bar and grill, damn fine people watching, and oh yeah—even a show or eight.

The Rave Scenes,  about party kids in the once-thriving DC rave scene, pops the Gypsy Tent’s cherry at 5:45 p.m. tomorrow. Tomorrow’s performance of the production will be the first of six throughout the festival.

DJ Smudge gets the Fringe opening party started tomorrow at 8 p.m. Partygoers can dance and drink the night away until 1:30 a.m.

Fort Fringe is open from 5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tuedays through Fridays, and from noon to 1:30 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Fort Fringe is located at 607 New York Ave. NW. Entry to Fort Fringe requires a button, which is a one-time purchase of $5. Tickets to single shows are $15.
