FEATURING: Rachel Manteuffel! And from No. 11 Productions, Ryan Emmons, Julie Congress, Sina Heiß, Enrico de Trizio, and Steven Conroy.
DISCUSSED: Coosje, their surreal play-with-music about the romance and creative partnership of sculptors & art theorists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen (1942-2009), who created Typewriter Eraser, Scale X on view in the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, and many other large-scale works. The show has two more performances, Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16, at the Goethe Institut at 8 p.m. both nights.
WE’RE I’M SORRY: That I have so much trouble pronouncing the show’s title/Coosje van Bruggen’s name, despite many, many attempts, most of which have been excised from this recording.
