A Metro bus was hijacked this morning, according to D.C. police. A pedestrian who was struck by the bus has died.
Metropolitan Police Department Chief Cathy Lanier says one adult man is in custody. The bus driver sustained non-life threatening injuries, and no passengers were injured.
The incident lasted three minutes, according to Lanier, and ended at a gas station in the 4200 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE.

NBC4 originally reported that the suspects were juveniles and were armed, but that was not corroborated by police.
Busjacking: U6 rte to Lincoln Heights. No injuries to passengers. Bus operator injured but non life threatening. MPD handling investigation.
