Set your weekend alarms early this summer because all outdoor pools operated by the District will open at 11 a.m., two hours earlier than they had in previous years.

The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation announced the change on Wednesday in its 2016 schedule for summer pools. But kids aren’t so lucky: The department notes that three of its four children’s pools will be closed for the entire season for capital construction. Only the Park View children’s pool at 693 Otis Place NW will be open. An alternative: Spray parks will open for the season on May 28 and will run every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 5, the department points out.

“All outdoor pools and Park View children’s pool will open for the summer on Memorial Day weekend (May 28, 29 and 30) from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and will operate on a weekends-only schedule (Saturday and Sunday) through June 12,” a DPR release explains. “Starting June 18, all outdoor pools will operate on their individual summer schedules.”

Another change to DPR’s portfolio of pools? Two—Banneker and Ridge Road—will have brand new concession stands that will accept cash or credit cards. They’re located at 2500 Georgia Ave. NW and 830 Ridge Road SE, respectively.

Memorial Day is a little over three weeks away and D.C. manages 18 outdoor pools across the eight wards. You can view a complete list of DPR’s water facilities here.
