The countdown to Christmas, foodie-style, has begun. Several restaurants are offering their own version of 12 Days of Christmas, and they involve bacon, hoagies, and lots of drinking discounts.

12 Days of Bacon

Red Apron Butcher is offering 12 types of homemade bacon from chef Nate Anda as a holiday gift this year. The list of pig products includes Canadian bacon, back bacon, face bacon, classic bacon, pancetta, guanciale, coffee bacon, cinnamon bacon, Old Bay-con, ginger bacon, “atomic” bacon, and chocolate bacon. Each comes in individually wrapped 16-ounce servings that can be frozen if desired. The entire package costs $180 and available for pick-up at each of the butcher’s locations in Union Market, Penn Quarter, and Merrifield, Va. Order it online here.

12 Days of Hoagies

Taylor Gourmet is offering all its regular sized hoagies for $6 from Dec. 12 through 24. Make sure to try the shop’s new Gordy’s Boulevard hoagie with pepperoni, peppered ham, mozzarella, cherry pepper garlic sauce, and hot Italian peppers local producer Gordy’s Pickle Jar. The collaboration is available at all Taylor locations throughout December.

12 Days of Commissary

Commissary in Logan Circle is offering 12 days of promotions Dec. 13 through Christmas day. Deals include an all day happy hour, a Holiday movie night, 20 percent off takeout, and $5 burgers. There’s even a little some for those who celebrate Hanukkah: a bottomless latke and doughnut bar for $15 on Dec. 22. Find the full list of deals here.
