Silver Spring’s Urban Butcher has been out of commission since October, when an HVAC unit caught fire on the building’s roof. But after repairs, the meat-centric restaurant and market will be back open for business on Feb. 9.
To celebrate, Urban Butcher will host an open house from 5 to 9 p.m. on reopening day with complimentary appetizers and happy hour specials. Chef Raynold Mendizabal will also serve a yet-to-be-determined roast at 7:30 p.m.
The restaurant will remain pretty much the same as it was before the fire.
