You’ll soon be able to pop open a can from yet another D.C. brewery. 3 Stars Brewing Company will release its Ghost White IPA and Citra Lemon Saison in 16-ounce cans beginning June 25. The tallboys will be available in four-packs at most D.C. retailers.
The 5.2 percent alcohol Citra Lemon Saison has “subtle citrus notes and a touch of tartness,” according to a press release. The Ghost White IPA—5.9 percent alcohol—has “a bright finish and lingering hop bitterness.”
River City Cannery, a mobile canning operation that Y&H profiled in February, will be packaging the beers. The company has also canned beers for Atlas Brew Works, Rockville’s Baying Hound Aleworks, and Frederick’s Red Shedman Farm Brewery, among others.
3 Stars’ can labels were designed by Kendra Kuliga of Cielo Productions, whose done other marketing and design work for the brewery.
