Forthcoming Pulaski Beer, the brainchild of three D.C. craft brewing enthusiasts who believe “delicious doesn’t have to be complicated,” will pour their first release, a collaboration with Right Properthis Tuesday at the brewpub in Shaw.

The offering, called Most Precious (as in Most Precious Blood), was developed by Pulaski’s Josh Perry and Right Proper head brewer Nathan Zeender. The duo started with Perry’s recipe for Pulaski True American Lager, a simple light lager (think Budweiser but better). They added flaked oats, experimental Mandarina Bavaria hops from Germany, and Zeender’s wild house yeast. The result is a subtly funky 5-percent-alcohol ale with a citrus hop character that is aromatic without being overly bitter.

The event goes from 5 to 9 p.m. Members of the Right Proper and Pulaski Beer teams, including Perry and partners beer blogger John Fleury and artist Peter Tsouras, will be present to discuss the release and plans for their brewery.

Their first solo brew, Pulaski True American Lager, is expected to be available locally in kegs and cans this winter. Until then, be on the lookout for additional Pulaski Beer collaborations with other breweries.
