Rest assured, D.C.: The Fort Reno summer concert series is happening this year. There was some speculation that it might not happen this year because a call for band submissions, which series organizer Amanda MacKaye usually puts out in March, hadn’t been posted, but in a post on the Fort Reno website, she confirms that it is indeed happening.

“Things are moving along in preparation for the coming summer,” MacKaye writes. Submission is now open for bands to apply to play this year’s summer concert series. Per usual, physical demos can be mailed or dropped off to MacKaye between now and May 31. This year’s concerts will take place on Mondays and Thursdays in July, from 7-9:30 p.m. As always, MacKaye is taking donations—via The Washington Peace Center, Fort Reno’s fiscal sponsor—to ensure the shows continue next year. And of course, no drugs, alcohol, or glass bottles.

We’ll be sure to post the full schedule as soon as it’s up.
