With VirginMobile FreeFest long gone and the promising—if not controversial—Landmark Fest on a hiatus, D.C. doesn’t have a lot options for annual music festivals. Luckily, we still have Trillectro, which—now in its fifth year—shows no signs of stopping.
Earlier today, the lineup dropped for this year’s festival, and it’s the strongest one yet. Kid Cudi headlines, along with Rae Sremmurd, Lil Uzi Vert, and D.C.’s own future-bounce pioneer GoldLink. But the local talent in the lineup doesn’t stop with GoldLink: Ari Lennox, Jay IDK, DJ Mane Squeeze, Lean Quatifah, TasteFaker, and D.C.-bred, L.A.-based DJ Spicoli are all performing. And rounding out the lineup, there’s Esta, Cousin Stizz, 070 Shake, Larry June, Mista Selecta, Dirty Chocolate, and Tha Yellow R Kell.
After moving from the Half Street Fairgrounds to RFK Stadium, it seems as though Trillectro has found its groove at Merriweather Post Pavilion, where it’ll be returning for a second year. This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, August 27 and you can snag your tickets here.
