A spokesperson for D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services said responders arrived on the scene around 1:20 p.m. and transported a patient to a local hospital. The patient had “serious, life-threatening injuries,” the spokesperson added.
Borderstan first reported the news. A representative for Capital Bikeshare said it dispatches a team member to check on any riders and bikes involved in a crash.
Today, the D.C. Council delayed a vote on legislation that proposes to increase compensation for victims of crashes.
