Hello, avid Arts Desk reader. We have good news and bad news.

As you may recall, in August we announced that our Nov. 4 show at the American Art Museum’s Luce Foundation would feature Sneaks and Hand Grenade Job. The show is still on, but unfortunately Sneaks had to drop off the bill. The good news is that Katie Alice Greer, vocalist in D.C.’s Priests, will now be performing.

Greer, who performs as K A G, released her first EP as a solo artist earlier this month. Entitled A, it includes four tracks of noise-influenced industrial and electronic compositions “inspired by weird suburbia, formidable famous women, and the 1947 film Black Narcissus.”

Hand Grenade Job’s Erin McCarley and Beck Levy have been busy lately composing the score and performing in Taffety Punk’s excellent adaptation of An Iliad, as well participating in Ragnar Kjartansson’s “Woman in E.” Rumor has it they have a new album due out next year, so perhaps we’ll hear some new songs.

Per usual, Luce Foundation Center shows are free to all ages, and there will be a free beer tasting from a local brewery. Music starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m. RSVP here.
