Update: A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood tells City Paper that all the tickets for this show have already been distributed. When and how are unclear, however. All the information given to City Paper about how tickets were distributed is that “All Access organizations were given a limited number of tickets that went very quickly.” The spokesperson did not say who those organizations are or how and when the tickets were distributed.

Earlier today, Planned Parenthood announced a free show its hosting at the 9:30 Club on inauguration eve with Common, The National, and some special guests. As its organizers put it, it’ll be an “historic event with leading activists, elected leaders, celebrity supporters, and advocates from across the nation to elevate the strong support for access to reproductive health care and abortion rights.” It’s all very exciting, except for one minor, but important, detail: No one knows how to get these free tickets.

Though the event is titled “Show Up!” just doing that won’t get you into the event, which is stated on its poster:

In a release, Planned Parenthood says that limited tickets to the event, dubbed “Planned Parenthood and All Access Present: Show Up!” are available “free of charge … through partnering organizations,” but it doesn’t list any of the partnering organizations through which potential attendees might obtain these tickets.

A call to Planned Parenthood’s media line goes straight to a voice recording that says, “Sorry, media line is not available.” We’ve reached out to 9:30 Club to see how to obtain free tickets to this event and will update when we find out.
