The anticipation is finally over. Below are the results of the District’s June 19 primary races and the vote on Initiative 77, courtesy of the D.C. Board of Elections. Check back with City Paper later this week for additional coverage of Tuesday’s outcomes, and what they mean for the District.

Winner: Yes, 44,353 votes, 55.14 percent

No, 36,090 votes, 44.86 percent

Democratic Primary

Mayor of D.C.

Winner: Muriel Bowser, 58,431 votes, 79.83 percent

James Butler, 7,532 votes, 10.29 percent

Ernest Johnson, 4,444 votes, 6.07 percent

Write-in, 2,787 votes, 3.81 percent

Attorney General 

Winner: Karl Racine, 67,964 votes, 98.53 percent

Write-in, 1,015 votes, 1.47 percent

Congressional Delegate

Winner: Eleanor Holmes Norton, 57,298 votes, 76.16 percent

Kim R. Ford, 17,438 votes, 23.18 percent

Write-in, 500 votes, 0.66 percent

Shadow Senator

Winner: Michael D. Brown, 33,366 votes,  51.04 percent

Andria Thomas, 30,920 votes, 47.3 percent

Write-in, 1,090 votes, 1.67 percent

Shadow Representative

Winner: Franklin Garcia, 59,287 votes, 97.44 percent

Winner: Bruce Majors, 104 votes, 89.66 percent

At-Large Councilmember Race

Winner: Denise Hicks, 103 votes, 92.79 percent
