Look—up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Candid Camera! Bored with the usual holiday snaps? Consider tethering your Instamatic to a high-flying kite and really capturing the big picture. Since the government is constantly taking our photos with their unseen eyes in the sky, learning some tricks of the trade is probably advised. The “Beginner’s Aerial Kite Photography Workshop” features kite photography experts (you knew there had to be some) Brooks Leffler and Craig Wilson explaining apertures and wind shear. From 10 a.m.-noon at the National Air & Space Museum’s Briefing Room, 6th & Independence Ave. SW. $10. For reservations call (202) 633-8926. (Dave Nuttycombe)
