NOVEMBER 4

Other than the fact that he apparently appeared on some television programs in the ’60s and has a fondness for Jell-O Pudding Pops, little is known about comedian Bill Cosby. At fiftysomething, he is getting a late start in the young man’s game that is stand-up, but his kind, slightly impish face leads one to suspect that his humor will be gentle and humane, qualities so lacking on the scene today. We certainly wish him luck in the business. At 8 p.m. at George Washington University’s Smith Center, 600 22nd St. NW. $15-22. (202) 994-7481. (Dave Nuttycombe)
