The Kronos Quartet‘s latest is a “greatest-hits” retrospective with a bonus CD featuring a number of pieces the San Francisco modernists have performed in Washington but never before recorded; even both discs don’t do justice to the territory the foursome has explored. This concert promises only works written or arranged for Kronos, which by now is plenty of territory itself. At 8 p.m. at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium, 730 21st St. NW. $20-30.
