It was a bit surprising to see a cameo by The Cramps on the Halloween episode of Beverly Hills 90210. Armed with a PVC B&D wardrobe and songs that (until recently) were more suggestive than explicit, they were visually too strong and lyrically too subtle for prime-time TV. But the core players—singer/exhibitionist Lux Interior and sneer-queen guitarist Poison Ivy—have been tearing it up for almost 20 years, so it’s about time. Local ghouls Date Bait and Jonathan Fire Eater open at 9 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $15. (202)667-7960 (Ben Buja)
