In his book, You’re on the Air: How to Really Make It in Voice-Overs, Dan Levine (“The Jingle Machine”) mistakenly identifies former 7Up pitchman Geoffrey Holder as James Earl Jones, but is otherwise correct in noting that one doesn’t necessarily need to possess such profundo pipes in order to sell. My nasal whine has garnered paychecks totaling dozens of dollars for annoying drive-time commuters.
