Offsetting a band name that promises frat-boy rock, the WinebottlesRide My Pony proves to be savvy adult rock that balances Springsteenian songs and singing with deft playing. The material is solid, but more interesting is the Colorado quartet’s instrumental work, which incorporates jam-band dexterity and worldbeat flourishes without (usually) becoming ostentatious.
