I’VE BEEN READING WITH dismay all the criticism of Eddie Dean’s work and wanted to put in a good word for him—his stuff is always interesting and gets at the heart of what’s unique and special about the greater D.C. area. I look forward to his work, as it usually documents, preserves, and promotes essential, indigenous culture—whether it’s Patsy Cline (“Nobody’s Patsy,” 4/7) or Richard Karch (“Last of the Romantics,” The District Line, 9/8) or any of the other pieces he’s done. Washington City Paper is all the better for it.
