On its debut, Scottish quartet Long Fin Killie sounds like a cross between A.R. Kane and a traditional British Isles acoustic group. Houdini combines soft, breathy vocals, unusual syncopation, and noisy guitar-and-violin psychedelia, adding Scottish instrumental-folk accents—thumb piano, bouzouki, and mandolin—to its dissonant, atmospheric mix. At 10:30 p.m. with Medicine at the 9:30 Club’s Atlantis, 930 F St. NW. $5. (202) 393-0930. (SK)
