DON’T STRETCH THE FACTS to try to prove your point.

You said in your column (“Skin Heads,” 9/8) that the Redskins failed to “present” the entire offensive or defensive team before the Cardinals game on Sept. 3, that “marquee Redskins from both sides of the line were called to midfield,” and that Heath Shuler was not among them.

First of all, as the Redskins’ stadium announcer, I did in fact introduce the entire starting defensive 11 before the game. Secondly, it is indeed rare when the starting quarterback goes to midfield for the coin toss, but in any case, the players who go to midfield are never introduced.
