Quick, someone call Robert Bly! First Louis Farrakhan announces that one million black men will march on the Mall in October. Now Promise Keepers, a Colorado-based organization, says it’s planning to bring a million Christian men to the Mall in 1997. You’d think that gathering a million guys in one place without chicks would be the opportunity of a lifetime: A million-man game of tackle football; a million-man debate on the topic, “Who’s better? Magic or Michael?”; a million-man game of beer pong; a million-man appreciation of Cindy Crawford’s bazongas. No such luck. According to organizers of both events, the two rallies will focus on spirituality, the honorable treatment of women, and the duties of husbands and fathers.
