AUGUST 12

Those who mourned Del Amitri’s abandonment of the delicate, atmospheric sound of its 1985 debut will find its latest, Twisted, the band’s most agreeable album since then. The Glasgow quartet probably still gets all rootsy on stage, though. Opening are Pennsylvania’s Caulfields, who dabble in a few styles that weren’t current in 1965 but are most convincing emulating the (first) British Invasion, and Peter Stuart. At 9 p.m. at the Bayou, 3135 K St. NW. $15. (202) 333-2987. (Mark Jenkins)
