A kind of frat party on wheels, the Alternative Bar Bus Crawl bills itself as one event where nobody has to be the designated driver. Buses will shuttle social drinkers, tipplers, and dipsos between the Insect Club, Big Hunt, the Meeting Place, 15 Minutes, Mr. Eagan’s, and Planet Fred from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Before getting on and off the wagons, register for the crawl and “preparty” between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Insect Club, 625 E St. NW. $10 for a cup and wristband; $2 for each beer.
