Try not to set anything ablaze this afternoon, lest you interrupt the Alexandria Fire Department’s Friendship Firehouse Birthday Festivities. Available for inspection will be the firehouse museum, several firetrucks, and even the station’s Dalmatian. EMS, HAZMAT-cleanup, and hook-and-ladder teams will conduct safety demos, and junior firefighters will be issued complimentary fire helmets and badges.
