The latest local band to sign a major-label deal is emmet swimming, the Northern Virginia folk-rock quartet that recently announced its new affiliation with Epic. The band’s latest album, Wake, will be reissued by the Sony affiliate this fall. The repackaged album will include some newly recorded tracks, to be re-recorded soon at Massachusetts’ Long View Farm studio; sessions for an all-new album are tentatively scheduled for next spring. Meanwhile, the band will appear Saturday, July 22, at the 9:30 Club and Aug. 12 at Planet Nova.
