If Proust were alive today he’d be 124, and really, it’s too bad he isn’t, because Chapters is having a birthday party for him. (Actually, it’s just an informal affair; an “official celebration” will come in September.) And although Proust’s Birthday won’t feature cake and paper hats, there will be madeleines and linden tea to help stir up memories of the first time you thought about spending the summer trying to read Remembrance of Things Past.
